has a truly International reputation.
Average statistics taken from recorded sightings show a very large, long-necked
animal of an unknown species. Nessie is capable of moving through the water
at high speeds
creating a big displacement of wave and wash. Urquhart Bay,
on the north side of the Loch, has produced many 'monster' sightings. Reportedly,
most sightings are
after 2:30pm and again after 9:30pm.
